Free stuff is killing our intuition and our businesses. It’s leaving healers and coaches feeling burned out and bummed out. It leaves clients wanting more…there has to be a balance. This is what I know for sure- the free stuff is blowing your 3rd chakra wide open as you hook-in without much thought to exactly what’s going on.
Today I offer up one of my SoulCollage® cards: “I am the One who is the critic.” and a aha or 2, maybe you can relate?
I don’t believe in scarcity [most times I do okay]. I know there is an abundant flow of energy/resources and everyone can tap into the flow. When my inner critic shows up she just messes things up, and leads to ineffective actions. It’s a dance of witnessing, checking in…asking “how am I holding point?” Moving forward.
For months now I’ve carried around the book The 7 Graces of Marketing: how to heal humanity and the planet by changing the way we sell because Lynn Serafinn’s book so speaks to me. When you’re constantly looking to be fed then you haven’t address the core need. It means you’ll jump into a program, take a course without really asking “Is this what I need?” or figuring out your return on investment [ROI].
We are addicted to the freebies, the free advice, the free reports and the free teleclasses…and coaches keep upleveling… frankly I feel full. Last week I wondered what’s up?
Turns out my inner critic is a wee one, who operates from the land of not enough:
I am the One who felt not enough. Not good enough. I don’t know what I know which leaves me hungering for more. I am the One who is nine years old trying to figure things out in a very chaotic family. She fears success and she fears failure because she’ll be judged. She abandoned her own knowing for the adults around her.
I used to see pictures of her and cringe. Today I feel humbled and compassionate- to be kind, to not to judge the way I was judged.
“As an empowered woman I know what I know. From my heart I can make informed decisions that help me move forward with passion and purpose. My inner knowing is bankable and valuable.”
The choice is to stop being consumed by being a consumer. I witness practical women not wanting to be responsible for their intuition (I’ll go get a reading) and ‘woo-woo” women going beyond their boundaries (I’ll give you a reading- here’s what I see- even though the person didn’t ask). This energy is fueled by your own inner critic.
Find a coach that will teach you how to get your own answers.
When you work with me, you’ll get it, you’ll own the power and the outcome- from the heart- because anything else you’ll walk away hungry (I’m not enough, I don’t know enough) looking for more- more freebies, more coaching, more, more, more. There is a lot of free stuff out there you have access too. Next time you go to download or sign up for a freebie I invite you to spend a moment and connect with your own inner critic. What does she need, what does she want? Then go find the solution.

Cheers to Michele for putting it out there, in raw black and white!!! “Not enough” was Big for me for sooo many years until I took a long hard look at it a few years back. And let me add, Big is an understatement. ‘Not enough’ ruled my life and caused me to make several hugely unhealthy mistakes. But, that is often the way we learn and grow, and the key in these things is to openly, honestly, non-judgmentally look at those mistakes, and most importantly, what drives them. Good, long, hard, open, honest, non-judgmental looks. This can often be quite a process. Stay with it; keep doing the work that helps you accept, heal, forgive, reclaim and jump on it to get where you chose to be. You are worth it!!! Thank you Michele! You are truly beautiful at 9, and at awesome wise woman!!!
